Growing up in the age of the original cult zombie classic “Night of the Living Dead” I have a fondness for the old school zombies, slow and lethargic. This brings us to our tutorial of the classic zombie look without the aide of appliances. Our model has an allergy to latex which means the use of latex appliances or adhesives could be a danger to her, this turns us to do a traditional makeup design.
*Ben Nye cadaver grey cream makeup.
Step 1. Apply the Grey foundation with makeup sponge and smooth with fingers.
Step 2. Use your contour brush and black to hollow eyes.
Step 3. Use the smokey green pencil to add details lines and blend with finger.
Step 4. To create the sunken features use the contour brush and black along jaw line, cheek bones, brow, and neck areas.
Step 5. Use the red eye pencil on the lower lid at the lash line to give the infected look.
Step 6. Use your finger to blend and smooth the black makeup.
Step 7. Clean the contour brush and add blotches of chartreuse to the face.
Step 8. Create some veins first by drawing them in with the blue pencil.
Step 9. Lightly trace over the blue lines with the red pencil and your veins are done.
Now for the Mouth:
Check out the blog on tooth F/X for tips on these products.
Step 1. After preparing teeth, paint the nicotine fully on the exposed teeth.
Step 2. Use the black tooth F/X to add detail.
Step 3. Dab stage blood around mouth with cotton ball.
Allow hair to fall freely or add in desired hair product to give an un dead look. Add costume and you are ready to roam the earth as a zombie.
