So Halloween may be over, but that still doesn’t stop us from learning new tricks and quick 3 step designs to implement quicker techniques and shorter queues for the next year.Better planning is never a bad thing !

STEP 3

STEP 3

For this Friendly Ghost cheek art, you will need the following products-

PAINTS

1.Snazaroo Black

2.Diamond FX White

3.Snazaroo Bright Red

BRUSHES

1.Majestic Round Brush-#3

2.Aqualon Brush-#1

STEP 1

Taking your Majestic #3, load it with White paint and paint on a semi circle at the top, while going down diagonally and end the bottom by painting on three uneven “U” shapes. This forms the body of the ghost. Be sure not to paint it too thin or too thick. Then, continuing with the same brush, paint on two thick, long curves appearing out of either sides of the body. Ensure that this is closer to the top half of the body and not the bottom half.
Fill in with white.

STEP 2

Now switch to your #1 brush and load it with black paint. This step involves a lot of detail and neat thin lines, so make sure you have a firm hold on your brush.
Neatly, outline the entire body and hands, while painting in thin small lines at all round corners of the body and hands. Stress on using a little more paint at the bottom two corners of the body. The purpose of doing this is to add a bit of 3d definition. Now while the paint is still wet, using any dry brush, blend the thin lines to give it a shading effect.

Continue with your #1 brush in black and paint on one slightly larger circle on the right side of the ghosts face, and then simultaneously a smaller circle on the left. Now continuing with the same brush, paint on a straight horizontal line for the mouth, and starting from either end points, paint two diagonal curves directing bottom and inwards.

STEP 3

Once this is dry, rinse your #1 brush and load it with Red paint. Then paint on a narrow deep “U” starting from the horizontal black line.It is obvious that this part is the tongue;). If you’re wondering how the tongue looks pink in the picture below, since this step asks you to use red, when we paint red over a white base, it eventually looks pink:).
Now for detailing, add a bit of definition with your red paint in the centre of the tongue, and outline it at the bottom. Then switch to your black paint continuing with your #1 brush, and paint on a very thin line in the centre of the tongue.
And with just 3 steps, and 3 colours ..You’re Friendly Ghost cheek art is ready !

Happy Painting !:)
