Skulls are always a creepy character during Halloween. But a half-face skull? That’s even creepier!
Supplies: We recommend Graftobian ProPaint for this design.
Tips: Always start with a clean face. Make sure that all paints, tools and the work area are all clean. Prepare everything you need before you start.
Step 1. Create a base. Apply on half of the face a Mix of White Swan, Buttercup Yellow and Fuzzy Bear Brown. This will serve as a base.
Step 2. Outline the skull. Using Fuzzy Bear Brown and #1 round brush, outline the skull.
Step 3. Highlight the skull. With a sponge loaded with White Swan, highlight the skull.
Step 4. Create the holes. Cover the eyes, nose and the hole on the jawline with Raven Black.
Step 5. Darken the cheekbones and teeth. Paint Eggplant over the cheekbones and and teeth with a sponge.
Step 6. Add more shadows. Using a chisel brush, create more shading on the cheekbones.
Step 7. Outline the teeth. Outline the teeth design using a #1 round brush and Raven Black.
Step 8. Add more shadows. Add more shadows and details to create a 3D look on the design, with a #6 round brush and Fuzzy Bear Brown.
Step 9. Highlight the design. With #2 round brush loaded with White Swan,
highlight the design
The finished product!
