This character makeup is extremely quick and simple. Great for Halloween, just match it with a plain black top and sleek straight hair, and you’re good to go !

For this Morticia Makeup, you will need the following products –

PAINTS

Diamond FX White

Snazaroo Black

Snazaroo Bright Red

Snazaroo Dark Brown

BRUSHES

Aqualon Brush-#1

SPONGE

High Density Sponge (Cut into half)

Find out how to achieve an entire makeup look with face paint, only using four colours !

STEP 1

Taking your Half Sponge and semi load it with Diamond FX White, Make your you gently dab around the entire face leaving out the lips. This should be slightly transparent as Morticia has pale skin but not entirely white.

STEP 1

STEP 1

STEP 2

Use the same sponge load the other end with Snazaroo Brown paint, and very lightly highlight the apples of your cheeks, extending it diagonally till the corner of your lips. Ensure that you blend this brown on the top with the white so it looks more like makeup contouring. For an easy trick, form a pout or fish face and trace the hollow areas of the sides of your face. Now using the same sponge, form two contours around the chin. To understand how wide or close they need to be, make sure the contour outlines are exactly where the corners of the lip are.Blend well.

STEP 3

Now taking your Aqualon #1 brush, load it with grey paint. You can achieve this simply by mixing black with white paint. Paint on extremely angled eyebrows with thin ends. Start by using your real eyebrows as the starting point. Paint on two diagonal lines parallel to each other and then end it with a highly curved tip. Morticia has extremely high eyebrows and they are meant to give her the look of being slightly confused/evil.

STEP 4

Taking your Aqualon #1 brush, load it with Snazaroo black and paint on angled strokes on the eyebrow you’ve just painted. This will make it look more real. Now load the other half of your sponge with grey and paint it onto the middle part of the eyelid making sure it blends in with the white closer to the inner corner of the eye. The outer corners should be more opaque (just like the concept of eye shadow). Now take your #1 brush in black and outline the eye shadowed are for the outer corner of the eye socket. This will act as a boundary for your black paint you are just about to apply. Load your sponge with Snazaroo Black this time and dab it onto the outer corner of the eyelid extending it all the way till the bottom of your eyebrow.
Now switch back to the sponge you loaded with brown paint for contouring, and contour the bridge of the nose. Painting two parallel lines close to each other.

STEP 5

Now switch to your Aqualon #1 and load it with grey paint. Paint on two curved lines at the base of the contour on your cheeks. This helps exaggerate the contour lines and shading.Repeat the same for the nose contour.Blend blend blend.Switch to your Snazaroo black paint now, continuing in your #1 brush and paint on a normal eye liner on the top eyelid.Repeat the same for the bottom eyelid, or you can achieve this with a normal liner pencil that you have at home. Now taking your sponge loaded with white (like in the first step), dab it all over your neck. We don’t want to have a normal neck with a white face.

STEP 5

STEP 6 – FINAL STEP

Load your #1 brush with Snazaroo Red paint, and paint on two small triangles at the tip of your actual lips. This will act as the base for painting Morticia’s lips.If you carefully notice, she has a thin upper lip and a slightly thick lower lip. Her upper lip is very sharp in its “M” and goes out very thin.
Paint the lower lip not fully curved but as two lines diagonal and then join it with a slightly curved line at the bottom.
Finish the look by adding basic mascara (this step is optional). This will amplify your overall look as the eyelashes tend to whiten after applying the first white layer with a sponge all over the face.
Let your hair down, wear a black top and your ready to go;)

A simple DIY costume and halloween makeup.

Happy Painting !:)
