Muscles seem hard to paint but let me reassure you that anyone can do it, just follow my steps!
Use a reference photo to see where exactly to position facial muscles. Sketch them out.
I used Merhon Paradise Paints in Beach Berry Red for muscles and a mixture of Mehron Paradise Paints in White and a bit of Mehron Paradise paints in Yellow and Light Brown for the skull that you can see under the muscles and on the ends of the muscles.
The same mixture of of white, yellow and light brown, I used for highlights on the muscles. I also added some grey using Mehron Paradise Paint in Storm Cloud on some ends of muscles. I don't know the names of these muscles so look at the photo to see where I used it!
Using white face paint and the thinnest brush I have, but with a small amount of product on the brush, I added stripes on the center of the muscles creating texture. After that, I outlined the muscles with Mehron Paradise Paint in Black.
Since I did this look like an illusion, (making it look like a cut-out), I had to add some eyeshadow to make the illusion stand out more. Using black eyeshadow, I made the appearance of depth and then outlined everything with black paint. Also, I added some depth with adding shadows around muscles by using brown eyeshadow. And that is all!
I hope you like this design and that you agree with me that is not as hard as it seems to do. :)

My name is Ana but on social media I use the nickname "Cedoviste," which is a combination of two words in my language: čedo (kid, child) and čudoviše (monster), and I really am monster kid - creative, silly, cheerful but also strange, creepy and scary.
I am a self-taught artist living in Montenegro, a very, very small country on the Balkans (former Yugoslavia) with around 660.000 citizens. It is very rare for people here to do body art professionally, so I work a full time job in HR and body art is my hobby that takes time as much as full time job. :D
My favorite type of expression illusion makeup body art. I just love making illusions and seeing people's reactions. I also enjoy creating different characters that are just perfect for Halloween season.
