With the new incarnation of the Mad Max film on the horizon, we thought it would be a perfect time to help you create your own warrior look. This is a relatively quick design and meant to look a bit messy to represent a warrior’s life.
Step 1. Draw a line for your scar with the red pencil, we chose to go over the eye for a more fierce battle look.
Step 2. Paint the collodion over your scar line, this will take several applications for the desired effect, allow a few minutes to dry in between each coat.
Warning: When using a product such as rigid collodion, follow the directions on the container. Use extreme caution around the eyes, for less experienced users avoid the eye area completely.
Step 3. Apply the mineral powder with the powder brush as your foundation; dust the scar area as well to help eliminate the shine.
Step 4. With the black eye liner, shade in the creases of your face and shallow the eyelid to give a more weathered appearance.
Step 5. Smooth in black lines with your finger.
Step 6. Keeping the brush and black Starblend cake and apply black makeup on face and lips to dirty up the look. Smudge with finger if needed.
Step 7. Add yellow and red war paint by using a damp medium flat brush. This is a time to be a bit messy again to give a more war beaten look. Use your own ideas for the war paint markings.
Step 8. Use the red eyeliner to color lower eye lid red on the scarred eye.
The makeup is complete, however we’ve added a special effect contact lens to the eye with the scar. Now find an appropriate costume like this leather duster and you are ready for the Road Wars.
*Removing Scar: Soak a cotton swab with adhesive remover and work around edges of the colodion, carefully peel away scar like a bandage. Re apply adhesive remover as needed.
