Simple Snow Angel

I recently had the privileged of painting my youngest brother and his girlfriend. While they are both adults, I hope their hearts remain forever young. I let them choose the design and thought I would share it with all of you.

Since winter is starting to kick in all around us, they chose a snow angel for me to paint. I hope you enjoy this simple design and will be able to use it for upcoming gigs and events. So let’s get started!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Kryvaline Metallic Gold Face Paint
  2. Kryvaline Metallic Pink Face Paint
  3. Wolfe White Face Paint
  4. Mehron Brilliant Orange Paradise
  5. Always Wicked Art Butterfly Makeup Sponges
  6. Mehron Mark Reid Signature Round Brush #4
  7. Amerikan Body Art Holographic Gold

The ever so cute application:

Double load your sponge with Metallic Gold and Pink and begin stippling the colors onto the eyes and forehead. The same as you would for butterfly wings. I used the pink on the eyelids.

Next, load your #4 round brush with Wolfe White and add teardrops as shown.

Continue by adding dots and stars to the design. Next, load your #4 round brush with your gold and paint the halo on the middle of the forehead. You can always go back and add some extra dots and highlights to the halo using Wolfe White.

Finally, load your #4 round brush with Paradise Brilliant Orange and outline the halo. Add glitter if you like.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Obviously, I love when I get requests from people that are special to me. This request was no different. I’m hoping to convince them to request a few more designs in the near future so stay tuned.

As always, please share your designs with us on Facebook. And I would love to know what tutorials you’d like to see us do in the future!

Until next time,

Live, Love, Paint!
